The antibacterial system in honey is caused by the substance (enzyme lysozyme) and the characteristic it has, they are :
1. Honey has the osmotic effect
The high glucose level (+/- 80%) and low water level (+/- 17%) in honey has caused honey to have an osmotic effect. This effect can make microorganism in body hard to grow and develop.
2. Honey has the Hydrogen Peroxide effect
The glucose and water in honey, and added by free oxygen in it will result to a glucose acid and hydrogen peroxide. These two products will be a great combination to eliminate microorganism that is getting into our body.
What Is Dexametason ?
Dexametason is an anti-inflammation medicine that considered effective, that can also lessen brain-pain, by stabilizing the cell membrane and avoid the happening of edema intradan extracellular. Dexametason is steroid that is often used as anti-edema brain. Although the effectiveness of this steroid can be proved in curing brain edema (neoplasm) in brain, nevertheless its effectiveness in curing edema by infarct and hemorrhagic in brain is still controversial.
Deksametason can be given in start dose 10 mg intravenous or intramuscular, then followed by 5 mgs every 6 hours, during a week and later, then can be stopped in sequence ( tapering off).
