Insomnia : The Cause And The Types

insomnia Insomnia is the sleeping trouble that mostly complained about. A research shows that about1/3 adults ever had insomnia every year. Insomnia is much found in those with depression, people in low economic and social life, the divorcee, those with chronic disease, and alcoholic.

Insomnia it self is defined as a perception in which a person feels lack of sleep, or feel the bad quality of sleep it self, though he or she actually has adequate opportunity of sleeping. Insomnia is different from that a person which indeed has a short period of sleeping (short sleepers). Short sleepers may have not long time of sleeping, but they do have a good quality of sleeping, and able to wake up fit by the next morning.

There are four types of insomnia seen from time based ;

Transient Insomnia

this kind of insomnia takes no longer than three weeks, and mostly caused temporary by stress. The patient of transient insomnia commonly have been able to detect it themselves, and do not need a special treatment of doctor or experts

Short-Term Insomnia

This may happen up to 1-6 months. Usually caused by a more persistent cause or stress.

Cyclinal Insomnia ( Recurrent Insomnia)

This type of insomnia is rarely met other than transient insomnia. The condition of cyclinal insomnia is where there imbalance between sleeping and waking. This circumstances can happen for temporer or else for a life time. Physiology change can be the cause of it, like premenstrual cycle, manic depressive, anorexia nervosa, or a certain kind of addiction like drugs, etc.
