Pigs Flu (swine flu) is a respiratory tract disease which is caused by influenza virus. This disease is originally the plural disease of pigs, but now it has changed dramatically and has been able to infect people. The symptom in human is similar to what happens to the pigs.

Swine flu was first found in a pig infected in 1930 in the United States. On the development, swine flu has now been moved to attack humans, especially those who are close contacts with pigs.

This new variant known as the H1N1 virus is the abbreviation of the two major virus antigen that is hemagglutinin and neuraminidase type 1 type 1.

What are the symptoms of swine flu?

Some patients may experience nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Tuberculosis patients can experience inflammation tuberculosis pneumonia or tuberculosis. Death patients may caused by secondary bacterial infection on tuberculosis tuberculosis, so that required antibiotics to avoid infection pas it.

Swine flu diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms and patient history in contact with pigs/swine. Patients which diagnosed being strain of the H1N1 virus, will be much better recommended healed except the right to a doctor or to hospital.

The vaccine to prevent influenza virus infection has been found, but currently still there is no vaccine for swine flu virus (H1N1) curently. Several government laboratories that are funded by the WHO is developing research to find the pig flu virus vaccine.

Two anti-viral drug that is able to prevent the swine flu are zanamivir (Relenza) and oseltamivir (Tamiflu). Medication is also not recommended for flu symptoms that have shown more than 48 hours. In the case of weight, patients may need more intensive handling in hospitals.

How to Prevent ?

Most effective way to prevent the spread of swine flu virus, in principle, is in the same as the ways to prevent transmission of influenza virus. Unfortunately the flu vaccine for pigs has not been found up to at this time.

Another way to prevent virus transmission is to minimize its contact with the virus, such as washing hands often, do not touch your face especially your nose and mouth and avoid close contact with people who are suffering from flu.
