Rio de Janeiro for 2016 Olympics
Rio de Janeiro had been chosen the Host for 2016 Olympics. The decision was taken by a top secret voting in International Olympic Comitee (IOC) in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 2nd. The voting it self had involved 98 members of the total 115 IOC members. Three others candidates for 2016 Olympics are Chicago (USA), Madrid (Spain), and Tokyo (Japan).
In order to support the international event, Rio de Janeiro is planning to hold the competition inside the city, the same as it is in XV Pan American Games.
Later on there will be seven competition cluster (Barra, Copacabana, Deodoro, Flamengo, João Havelange, Lagoa and Maracanã), in four olympic zones (Barra, Copacabana, Deodoro, and Maracanã) (wikipedia)
Brazil will seem to have to work hard to built their country. As it has been decided that this country will be the one holding world cup 2014. See some pictures of the venues for 2016 Olympics here
